tmux syntax highlighting breaks when there a \; in the file

See how the comment character on the next line is no longer the correct color?
Honestly, this may have nothing to do with tokyonight so I was hesitant to submit a ticket but everywhere I looked I saw others saying that this is usually caused by an incompatible colorscheme.

Commenting out the \; and it goes back to normal syntax highlighting until it encounters another one.

This isn't related to the colorscheme. You can easily confirm that by switching to a different one. Use the :InspectTree command to see which treesitter nodes are actually being highlighted.
