I see some good documentation available at https://code.google.com/archive/p/pystdf/wikis/Tutorial.wiki , I believe is the "intended" way to use this library. This document is very good and very clear to me. But a few issues:

1. The code.google completely merks the formatting, so I had to put in some effort to clean it up and get it to be readable.
2. The sample files do not have data in TEST_TIME field (all 0), so initially running the sample TestTimeProfiler makes it seem like it's not working. I think a better sample code might just count up bin1s and show the yield. (Aside - does anyone have a good source of sample stdf files?)
3. Under current versions of python (3.12), I get some type related errors and can't run the sample code from the wiki. I believe this is due to the way pystdf dynamically generates the classes (python doesn't know the class members until runtime, and I guess newer versions of python are stricter on this); I worked around this by using getattr rather than direct access.

These all represent barriers to usage. At least for 1 and 2, I believe these could be pretty easily fixed just by copying and updating that code.google page into the repo as a readme md file. I would be happy to submit a pr for this, but it seems like there's potentially some wider documentation plan using sphinx or something (I'm not familiar, I just see those files in the repo).
