Submit your project midterm report on D2L by midnight on 3/19/17 in the "Project 2 report" dropbox folder. I will be happy to provide feedback for early versions of reports submitted at least a week prior to the deadline.

  1. Your simulation reflects key aspects of the system you chose to simulate. You may base your argument on how you configure your simulation and/or on how you implement any needed mechanisms not provided by Omnet++ out of the box. The performance of your simulation and mechanisms should be backed up by output { either a visualization of your simulation, or graphs. For example, you may show a graph of the age of an object in an LRU cache, if an LRU cache is one of the mechanisms you implemented.

  2. Your simulation can identify the different performance bottlenecks in the simulated system. For example, is there a limit to the number of clients that can use the same cache? Does request delay pass some usable threshold as the number of clients grows past a certain number? It will be up to you to show the limitations of the system your simulation based on your understanding of its mechanisms.
