Linking a value in a field (auto value)

It is useful to have some automatic settings for plots, like scaling factor, number of tickmarks, etc. The defaults are often working well, but when we need to set a custom value this should be easy to do locally. A new feature named Link Field has been prototyped:

• When a value is assigned automatically to a field, the background color is different
• An icon is displayed to show if the value is linked or unlinked
• Clicking the icon will toggle state
• Typing in a text field will unlink the field
• If a custom value has been entered, the linked value can be accessed by activating the link icon
