+Aztec aims to address the scalability challenge by utilizing zkSNARKs to achieve flexible encryption and improve scalability. Through the use of recursion and kernel circuits, Aztec expects to achieve a significant scalability improvement over Connect, targeting 100+ transactions per second (TPS) and single-digit cent transactions by mainnet launch. This represents approximately 5 times more throughput than Ethereum and 50-100 times more than Connect. Aztec also plans to reduce the cost of posting call data to Layer 1 through the use of blob transactions facilitated by EIP-4844.
